Introduction

At UWP, we are committed to providing comprehensive care under one roof. We are proud to announce our partnership with HandsOn EMG Testing, an EDX Accredited Laboratory, to bring advanced diagnostic services directly to our facility.

By integrating “Healing Hands Guided by Technology,” we can now offer precise testing to evaluate muscle and nerve function without sending you to external imaging centers.

Our New Diagnostic Services

1. EMG & NCS Testing If you are experiencing pain or discomfort, we need to know the exact source of the problem.

  • Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS): These measure the health of your nerves.

  • Electromyography (EMG): This evaluates the integrity of your muscles.

Research studies show that 62% of patients who received EMG/NCS testing had better outcomes and greater success in managing their condition.

2. Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (MSKUS) This technology allows us to safely and accurately see the source of joint pain .

  • Real-Time Imaging: Shows the movement of tendons and nerves in real-time, which is useful for conditions that worsen with motion.

  • Patient Friendly: This is a non-invasive and radiation-free option.

Is This Testing Right For You?

Your doctor may recommend these tests to localize issues related to the neuromuscular system or to evaluate joint and tendon injuries. Common symptoms and conditions we treat include:

  • Pain & Sensation: Back or neck pain, sciatica, numbness in hands or feet, and burning sensations.

  • Muscle Issues: Muscle weakness, cramping, or twitching.

  • Specific Conditions: Carpal Tunnel, Neuropathy, Arthritis, Tendonitis, and Diabetes.

  • Injuries: Ligament damage, tears, and cysts .

Why Schedule Your Test at UWP?

  • Convenience: There is no need to travel to external imaging centers. We offer these tests on-site for a safer and more comfortable experience.

  • Faster Treatment: Immediate results allow for better care coordination. We can quickly determine if you need physical therapy, an orthopedic referral, or further testing.

  • Advanced Technology: We utilize state-of-the-art equipment to ensure accurate results for effective treatments.
